WHAT'S GONNA BE WILL BE

This was Deolu's mantra
So many prophecies would attest to his greatness
Infact some Sundays ago he was still singled out in a crusade and given the same prophecy 'You are a very great man'....

'Deee the greatest' Silas hailed upon running into Deolu at a mall while fist bumping him
'What's gonna be will be' Deolu replied

As a happening guy in their university days, Deolu had so used the slogan it became customary to greet him this way

'Silas, I definitely wouldn't have recognized you if you hadn't called' Deolu said
'It's been ages my man, almost 10 years after university days is a long time'.
'That's true my bro' Deolu replied

So what are you doing now?' Silas asked
'I've been here and there,you know how it is getting a job in this our country. Without connection, nothing for you' Deolu responded

As he waived farewell to Silas, he couldn't help but do the comparism. It was more than obvious, Silas had made remarkable achievements.

Deolu was the go-to guy back in the day
Smart, witty and very intelligent
Little wonder why everyone wanted to be his friend
It was safe to say his friends all felt the university was keeping Deolu from shooting out
Almost a decade down the line he was holding tenaciously to the words spoken about him, waiting for his miraculous big break and taking no practical steps to achieving them.

The difference between Silas and Deolu was in the doing.
No matter how little, daily, weekly or even monthly, self improvement is a fundamental key to growth. Nobody just wakes up into being the best version of themselves.

What's gonna be is not gonna be: GET UP!!!
