No one knows tomorrow
Mama joy stop was a very popular name around the university, she got dubed that name and rightly so because a stop at hers always brought joy to the stomach of students
Mama joy stop sold fried yam and akara with pepper sauce beside the university gate so there was no way one would miss her
It was Melvin's last week at his place of service.
He was dedicated, cheerful and barely left a place without everyone around him smiling.
'Mummy, I was told they don't retain corpers so I'll go around to submit my CV from next week then return home next month' he said on the phone
Jason couldn't help but overhear the phone conversation as he walked into his office.
The Corpers were rounding off their service that week so he came into the office for the first time in almost a year, to bid them farewell
Melvin ended his call and just turned around when Jason saw him and called his attention and as fate would have it, upon enquiry Melvin turned out to be the son of Mama joy spot who Jason carried around as a young child
Several years back Jason as a student, was walking back to his hostel after a hectic day of lectures when he passed by Mama joy spot. His stomach growled and was almost screaming when he branched off to the joy spot, made his order and after eating was trying to sneak away when Mama joy spot caught sight of him
Upon enquiry she got to know Jason was orphaned and was seeing himself through school and at that point was penniless.
Mama joy spot from that day began to feed Jason her akara and yam for free until he graduated
Your guess is as good as mine
Melvin was offered a permanent job
And his siblings were automatically placed on scholarship by Jason
You never know how or when your little act of kindness will speak up for you
So by all means possible, do good to everyone you come across
No one knows tomorrow.
indeed, no one knows tomorrow.
