My wife can never be richer than me
The story behind her tears is sure heart rending.
Her husband had been working with Julius Berger for years and he did absolutely nothing in setting his wife or kids up.He bought flashy cars, spent lavishly on whatever he wanted and traveling whenever the mood struck. To take her mind off troubling her husband for financial aid or dependance she enrolled for MSC, self sponsored herself through local drinks she made and hawked, she also saved up and bought a piece of land which she started building on with the hopes of renting the apartment when she was done.
Suddenly, her husband got sacked, All the company properties were taken back from house to cars and more.
Instantly they became homeless and penniless. The woman he cared less for became the bread winner, the family was forced to move into her uncompleted building and more hence her reason for crying

If a woman has money she becomes proud and no longer has respect
My woman cannot be richer than me, if she's earning more she has to leave that job or business. She has to choose between marriage and business'
These and many more are the reasons many men give for refusing to empower their wives or supporting them in their quest to be financially independent, pursue a career or hold their own without realizing that we are invariably helping ourselves when we help our spouses
