Before meets After

Ebidonsi ona to

Darling darling
Ebidonsi ona to
Sweetie sweetie
Ebidonsi ona fio
I love you I love you
Ebidonsi ona da
I miss you I miss you
Scrolling through my phone, it's quite obvious that no one could have put it better than Flavour in his song 'Wiser'

Going to bed in heavenly bliss after listening to her voice at night
Waking up to her sweet, heart warming messages of sweet nothings
Then the calls and chats in between the day
The times of wild romance

Beep beep
Of course that would be my wife
Cos it's about my time of closing from work
I didn't need to check to know but I had to open it

'Don't forget to buy bread for Junior
The baby's milk is finished as well
          Diaper
          Wipes
          Toiletries'

Another grocery list in continuation of her first sms. Scrolling up, looked like the same pattern, a list by the close of work
The last time there was any lovey dovey kind of message was Valentine's day

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha it's indeed worthy of laughter the expectations we had going into marriage versus reality. From the hope of everyday doings, to looking cool always, to the endless fun times and talks all replaced by life and kids drama/grocery list

This gave me a reminder that keeping the flames burning in marriage was more of a deliberate and conscious effort which is why I'd be taking my Baby girl on a getaway trip for the weekend before our fire is replaced with bread and diapers from grocery lists.
