This was hubby and I arguing with road safety officers.

Hubby is very extra with keeping all his documents up to date. Same applied to our car so after the officers stopped and searched for everything possible, they couldn't find anything to hold on to so as to extort money from us

Hubby blatantly refused giving them a dime and in the middle of all these one officer said he'd book us for under-inflated spare tyre.

It was a truly funny experience and such a ridiculous attempt 

When they saw we wouldn't budge the lady amongst them resorted to insulting us

'See the car you're driving and you're acting like you have money'

Trust Chi-Chi. Ohhhhhhh I didn't spare her because of everything they did, this statement got to me.

How do you rate the value of a person by the material thing he possesses?

It blew my mind

I couldn't understand my value being compared with the car I rode

Well, a year later, we got two sweet rides and Madam officer was still standing there under the sun watching our growth as we drove past their spot home everyday.

Funny but sadly, this is how society had twisted the minds of people

Any surprise the lengths youths are going today just to acquire material things?

You're only respected when they see the flashy things; the big house,the flashy cars, you throw money around 

Nobody cares what the content is, so long as the container is sparkly enough 

We as a people need to do better

Let's teach ourselves and our young ones what constitutes true value or worth

Without those glamorous things, what can be said of that person you so admire? What can be said of our youth?

Let's go back to the drawing board.
