Happily Ever After!

Saw a video trending online of a groom who stormed out of his wedding reception because of the denominations of currency sprayed at him and his bride

You're on the dance floor with your soulmate but your eyes is counting money like ATM or monitoring the people sharing food because you're thinking of how to balance vendors
For many reasons i find this quite funny that in this age and time a person would choose to self inflict himself with unnecessary expenses either with the aim of impressing or with the hope of recouping the money spent hopefully from wedding guests

'You won't understand' somebody might say but i most certainly do. Thankfully i've written about hubby and i getting married sometimes back and how we handled the expenses. We made a budget, compared it with what we had (which was nothing by the way) and we decided we can't kill ourselves or begin our marriage by plunging into debt so we said no to the things we couldn't afford and stood by it. Of course we were called names, from stingy to foolish and more but we got home at the end of the day happy, debt free and wedded

Plan your wedding according to what you can afford. The end goal is to be wedded right?
At the end of the day it would be just you and your spouse struggling to repay any debts incurred in the name of wedding; no guest will show up, not even that honourable that ate two plates of food and even went away with wine

If you can afford to splash, by all means, do so
If you can't call both families and do your ceremony inside
Still too expensive? You also have the option of going to court

After elders gather to contribute for any man to marry you still wonder why they call her 'Our Wife' or why they start staking claims on her after his demise? She be family wife na
No go do pass yourself oh!
