Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day!!!
It's 1st October and as is customary, voices rent the air.
Voices of celebration
Voices of tears and despair
Voices of desperation and hopelessness,
Voices of protest for change
Yes, voices, the first being for the rich and those in power 
And the other voices are those of the masses, poor, downtrodden and citizenzs generally who are suffering daily at the hands of the bad government.

Several songs and publications go out today talking about the present state of affairs of the nation.
However, what beats my mind is the fact that this circle goes on every year. 

The masses cry today as they always have and i ask myself, 'What's really wrong with our government? Why aren't they addressing the challenges recounted by the masses, year after year? How can the government be so deaf and blind  to everything wrong? 
Will any genuinely working government feign ignorance year after year? No.
This brings me to the conclusion that the government is very  much aware of the challenges and needs of the people but has chosen to do nothing about it but plunder!

So are we really independent and free? No!
Until we upturn mannequins posing as our leaders and those who have no love, empathy and the interest of the people at heart from our government, we have simply taking the reins of colonization and slavery from one and handed to another.
Happy Independence Day as we keep fighting for the better we deserve.

Bingo on the lose

My people, I was taking my daughter to school when I heard sounds of feet behind me and a man making a call signal. I turned to see what was going on, only to find a correct dog right behind me. Hmmmmmm my mouth opened on its own accord, next thing I knew, doors were flying open because the way my screaming pierced the air, ahhhhhhhhhhhh! The man started apologizing profusely, saying the dog just took off the minute he opened his door. And everyone went into their rooms as per, normal occurrence. Since I set foot in the Dublin, I think dogs are dragging numbers with humans. Everywhere you turn, someone has a dog and you need to see how protective they are about it. They smile and tell you 'Don't worry, he/she is friendly and loves to play' Then they pause with their dog and wait for you to rub the dog. It's considered impolite and somewhat rude when you don't.
