Generation Zeeeeeee
As the loving mother that I am, I decided to make a long long family recipe for my kids. It's one that's been passed down from one generation to another.
A well cherished meal, one we end up most times fighting for extra helping.
So I thought it wish to make it for my kids since the mood struck me.
You know those kind of days when you're extremely happy? Yeah.
'Lunch is ready!' I announced to the kids.
First was my son who came running into the dinning, took one look at the meal and frowned..
His sister who was trudging alongside didn't hesitate to ask 'Mummy, what's this? I want golden morn please.
My son seconded by asking for a different meal as well.
See children of these days.
Who gave us the right to choose what to eat?
When you should even be grateful you had what to eat in the first place?
Misbehaving or provoking your parents was punishable by you being denied food at times.
You had no right to make another meal asides that made for the whole family.
Rejecting the meal was tantamount to forfeiture.
Kids today have the luxury of a million choices and parents would even be begging or trying to entertain the kids to eat.
I remember dancing for my daughter when she was younger; for every spoonful of rice she ate, I danced.
Today the kind of food is not on question.
Times sure does change things.
