7 years later!
I was privileged to attend a beautiful wedding today after a pretty long while.
The jollof rice was jollofing of course,
DJ killed it
Everybody's dressing was 🔥🔥🔥.
It was the perfect wedding and I got chills when the couple had their first dance.
A slow tune that was making sense
The way the couple was just staring at each other, whispering, giggling
Ahhhhhh I remembered when I said I do.
Marriage in truth is more of a deliberate effort, hardwork by both partners to ensure it works.
One the wedding day, one can literally feel the love oozing from the couple
What then goes wrong few years down the line?
Some don't even survive a year before all the romancing and caring disappears.
What efforts have you put in lately to keep the fire of love in your marriage burning bright?
Some men in their thoughts don't see any reason why they should keep wooing and spoiling their wives because after all, they've married her.
Some women just roll their sleeves and lie down with the sense that it's the man's duty to make everything work.
Sometimes going to wedding and watching new couples take their vows helps in reminding us of the treasures we have in our lives and the good thing we've got going.
Don't let that love grow cold.
Fan the ambers!!!
