Alone!

Alone time is truly not overrated oh.
Four hours later after a beautiful siesta, I feel I could conquer the world.
No shouts of Mummy Mummy,
No fighting
No endless screaming
No arbitration and all
Just peace and quiet.
The icing on the cake?
I got hubby with me.

Hubby decided that we needed a break for ourselves
This would be the second for the year.
You needed to have seen how yours truly screamed Hallelujah when he informed me of the 1 week getaway he had planned for us.

Over six years of saying I do and doing life together but the discovery of taking breaks as a couple has done so much for our bond and oneness of mind.
I therefore recommend for any couple as a very good form of therapy/spice to their love life.

Do we love our kids? Yes
And we can't trade them for anything as they're God's priceless blessings to us.
Do we work? Yes
But at some point, we'll retire from whatever job we might be having but our love can't be  bought or replaced. Hence we're putting conscious efforts to build the love we share to last and even outlive us both.
There'd always be a reason why the vacation can't work. From timing to responsibilities, cash and lots more but trust me, YOU NEED THAT ALONE TIME WITH YOUR PARTNER!

Bingo on the lose

My people, I was taking my daughter to school when I heard sounds of feet behind me and a man making a call signal. I turned to see what was going on, only to find a correct dog right behind me. Hmmmmmm my mouth opened on its own accord, next thing I knew, doors were flying open because the way my screaming pierced the air, ahhhhhhhhhhhh! The man started apologizing profusely, saying the dog just took off the minute he opened his door. And everyone went into their rooms as per, normal occurrence. Since I set foot in the Dublin, I think dogs are dragging numbers with humans. Everywhere you turn, someone has a dog and you need to see how protective they are about it. They smile and tell you 'Don't worry, he/she is friendly and loves to play' Then they pause with their dog and wait for you to rub the dog. It's considered impolite and somewhat rude when you don't.
