Happie boys

It was all over the media how the OPM pastor took them abroad abandoned them after 6 months, leaving them to starve and suffer even when they pleaded severally for him to help them. Eventually he stopped picking their calls or replying to their messages. This was the narrative the Happie boys presented online. They futher went ahead to say he was  using their star to enrich himself and live a life of affluence.

The Pastor in a hurting reply, cursed the boys but came back online to say he forgave them after much persuasion.

So the Happie boys made a video and shared online to thank their benefactor, the OPM pastor for sending them to Cyprus and then outrightly rejected his offer to continue sponsoring their education if they returned to Nigeria or chose to school in Benin Republic and stated clearly they weren't returning to Nigeria for any reason whatsoever.

First, Nigerians were swayed to believe the pastor didn't show care by taking the kids to a foreign land and abandoned them.

Next, people got to see that the boys who presented themselves as innocents and were awarded scholarship to study were nothing short of opportunists who didn't understand the value of the gift that was given to them.

I once read a post online 'Not every stray dog deserves to be fed'.

Many are just humble because they haven't found their ways or are still largely dependent on you.

Ingratitude and a bad character can take no one anywhere.

Now we see why it's difficult to ask people to render help? The Happie boys represent what ungrateful people look like. Imagine the pains of picking people from nothing, dusting them up and giving their lives meaning, only for them to stab your heart. This is nothing new but a shameful reoccurring deed and shows one must indeed be careful and sensitive even when rendering help.

So many hand have been bitten by those they once fed fat.
