What works for you?
The laundry basket would always get full to overflow if hubby doesn't sort it out.
I've never been a laundry person, I only do it if I absolutely need to so from the inception of our marriage, hubby has been the one doing the laundry.
With time, he got us a washing machine and this made doing laundry faster and easier and also got me to begin participating.
Years later guess who's the chief laundry man?
Yours sincerely!
I still do not have that much love for it but I grew into doing it for the kids, hubby and myself and guess what?
Hubby would give anything to have me launder his clothes because in his rating, I do it better than drycleaners.
I took it serious,
Learnt how to not only wash each clothe properly, but also how to starch and the best kind of starch and quantity to use with regards to each outfit and best of all, I'M THE BEST when it comes to ironing if I do say so myself.
The thing is, somethings doesn't have to necessarily be straight jacket. Make room for people to grow and change.
Things might not start of 100% the way you want it but certainly, things do change and so do people. Today, I can't remember when last hubby did any form of laundry.
Do not put so much emphasis on things that can be overlooked or worked around.
If you're going to have deal breakers let them be those things that really affects the core of one's humanity and vision.
Don't be quick to compare your relationship with others, you're only setting yourself up for many troubles.
Do what works for you!
