Don't feed every dog!

Truly, not every dog deserves to be fed.

Some people are only loyal and humble because they lack the wherewithal to show their true nature.

They come singing your praises and virtually grovelling at your feet but the minute they become a little bit empowered, they feel they've arrived and can do without  you who was helping them climb the ladder all the while.

Mr Paul, a long time friend of mine had a job he was searching for who'd execute for him.

I introduced him to Mr Peter as also a friend or so I thought. They both came into an agreement and terms were discussed. At the stage of signing the agreement, Mr Paul decided to do it where I'd be present and also in his excitement, as a show of gratitude for linking him up to Mr Peter, he wanted to give me a token.

Mr Peter got angry about all Mr Paul wanted doing for me, and wasn't mindful to have the business fall through just because he felt I was undeserving of the gifts of gratitude.

Some person are like Mr Peter, if not even worse.

You'd slave for them, go out of your way to help them, cry with them, encourage them, push them until they succeed, then they'll turn back to treat you like you both had no pre-existing relationship.

Some even go as far as turning around to fight you and become a great enemy.

In as much as you love to help, also guard your heart because so many people will disappoint you and not even say as much as thank you.

Until every humility and loyalty is tested, it's not true.
