Life choices!

'Please can you guys give me a minute to just rest my back? I'm truly exhausted' hubby said to the kids. I think his sorry puppy face made him look even more vulnerable and powerless that they ran around the house the more and even went as far as jumping all over him.

I remember the days of silence
I remember our early days of marriage
We decided we were gonna wait a year at least before trying for kids but destiny had a different plan.
Few weeks in i became round and before you know it the first baby popped and we decided, why not have the second and be done with childbirth? And so we did.
Little by little, our lives were changed, and without realizing what we were doing, we had unconsciously stepped into another phase of a lifelong commitment to two innocent souls.

Some days you're exhausted, some days you're ill, some days you just want to be alone, but there's that little voce that reminds you that this noise from the kids is somebody's prayer point. So you dust yourself up and carry one.

What am I trying to say?
Life is full of decisions at every turn and as beautiful as it might seem, this includes having kids too.
We don't talk so much about couples or people being mentally prepared before chosing to have kids. The drastic changes kids bring is irreversible and a lifetime commitment. If you truly love them, you can't quit at any point so ...
Love yourself, care for yourself, spend time with your spouse, prepare for the kids such that when they come even when you run to hide in the bathroom, you'd also remember life without the kids and with the kids, relief your fun days of yesterday as consolation and be fired up for the day.

Bottomline: prepare yourself by before having kids.
Same applies for marriage and every other life choice in general.
Meaning, for every level you're in, make the most use of it, maximize it, so you don't sit in your next phase thinking about your past phase.
