NO SHORTCUTS!!!

I remember growing to my Dad telling me severally that there was nothing like shortcuts.

Once we were watching a TV program where a man won several stuffs from the show, Dad laughed and told me life wasn't such a fairy tale, to get what you want, you ought to work for it.

I've come to hear so many stories of very young men and women going through every imaginable means just to 'keep up with the Joneses'.

From crazy diabolical means with demands for sacrifices that would leave you speechless, to illegitimate and fraudulent activities

Then the ladies have normalized being escorts to anyone and anything so long as they're paid.

The story of a lady comes to mind.

She wanted to keep up, so she decided to be an escort.

A friend introduced her to a wealthy billionaire who said part of what he loved most was a little wound being licked.

She accepted and it became a norm.

He financed every lifestyle she wanted and all was well until she decided to stop.

Overnight, she began to grow a wound on her thigh. She tried every treatment, nothing seemed to work and in the end, her leg was amputated.

Guess her age? JUST 25!!!

There's no shortcut in life

Those flashy things you see or people flaunt, is a big mirage compared to the prices they're paying to sustain such a life.

The sad truth that is not spoken out loud is that you pay a higher price for living this way.

I'm using this time to appeal to our youths: do not let anyone pressure you into a life that would cost your soul tomorrow.

Parents, don't push your kids into crazy things as well all because you want to enjoy some wealth.

Nothing solid or legitimate happens overnight!
