Marriage!
Few days ago TerryG in an interview said top musicians like himself can't get married because once you're married, you're out of the market as an artist and that will affect your career growth.
Today I watched another interview of BLord who married his wife at 21, said he's married for five years now and has 2 kids. He spoke of how marriage has made him into a better and more accountable man and the beautiful achievements he has made so far.
It simply goes to show that it is what we choose that happens for us. We say marriages are failing these days but there are a million others winning everyday too and happily.
We have artists like KissDaniel, JohnyDrill, Davido, BankyW, Adekunle Gold... All married and very successful.
How are you positioning yourself for marriage?
What kind of person are your going after?
What do you hope to make out of your home?
Is your supposed partner sharing the same line of reasoning with you? Or you're simply after a person you can show off?
They are good marriages winning out there. Don't fall for the narrative that everything marriage ends up in tears.
A true marriage doesn't end up, instead it is the best platform to nuture and unravel your true self and worth with the biggest support system, your ride or die, who is none other than your spouse.
