LONELINESS!
Read of a lady who fell into depression, tried to end her life but was unsuccessful at it thankfully. Today she's celebrating life.
There are a million reasons that could push a person into this path but I'd love to touch on loneliness today.
One of my hubby's colleague told him, he doesn't see himself living beyond the next 5-6years.
Another actually developed mental health issues and had to check in with a Doctor for awhile.
All these sound like a joke but loneliness is crazy.
In Nigeria, we readily took each other's company for granted.
Walking down the street, if you don't greet people around, they'd naturally extended greetings to you.
If your neighbour or friend doesn't see or hear from you, they'd pop into your house
Friends not only visit, they can drop in unannounced and might even sleep over.
There was always someone to talk with, someone to talk to, something to make you laugh.
Got to THE ABROAD and I see soany lonely people walking the streets. From their houses, to their jobs, then malls to shop and if they're abit religious they go to their place of worship.
Pets have become serious best friends to many. No wonder they take them as serious as they'd take any human.
Loneliness is a strong killer disease.
I look around, and I appreciate the love of my family.
I cry about the drama and hyperactivity of my kids, but I appreciate having them in my life.
How about having someone you can share things with? I think about it and I'm more thankful for my hubby.
Loneliness is indeed a strong silent killer and I couldn't be more grateful to God for the gift of my family.
