Too big to apologize
Proverbs 15:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.
The worst thing that can happen to some people is expecting an apology to come out of them.
They'd rather lose vital organs of their body than say 'I'm sorry'.
Apologize?
To who?
For what?
First is even getting them to the point of admitting they're in the wrong.
They have excuses and logical explanations to backup their actions
And for any reason, they agree they're at fault, they'd try to dismiss the issue.
Some other persons would outrightly refuse apologizing.
We've seen this play out in several scenarios.
An African parent accuses a child of doing something, then later finds out he or she was wrong.
They'd gloss over it and probably give the child something in special cases and expect that the issue automatically dies
It's almost like there is an unwritten law that says African parents can never be wrong.
How about a Boss apologizing to a subordinate?
Or Husband's to wives and vice versa?
What about a rich man to a poor man or the poor to a rich fellow?
The bottom line of all these is pride and this can cause deep words that a little I'm sorry could easily erase in the twinkle of an eye.
The text above says a soft answer turns awsy wrath.
Don't allow that pride cost you something valuable
Learn to say the magic word, I'm sorry.
