NYSC: Not a suffering/death sentence

My younger brother just returned home from his PPA. We are very much happy and we're working on getting him reallocated to another PPA.
He was posted to a secondary school and my family was very ok with it, UNTIL HE GOT THERE!
To think that they were demanded to stay live in school, accommodations for provision for staff was bad, they were asked to share bunk beds and eat from the school dinning, and the staff building almost a write off.

If the staff accomodations was this bad, I wonder how the students hostel would be like.
And the school principal vehemently swore that he wasn't giving any corper rejection letter.
You don't want to make the place conducive and you want to force people to stay?

I just watched the Niger state Governor pledge 200k each to the present batch of corpers that just finished from camp and another 5billion to build a new structure for the corpers.
I watched the video of a man who built a very very beautiful accomodation for corpers posted to his local government.
Tell me who wouldn't want to stay and serve there?

Some people think the purpose of NYSC is cheap labour, so they don't put respect, empathy, or any form of consideration to these youngsters who are trying to start out in life.
No financial gain, bad environment, exploitation and even death has marked this NYSC posting issues.
From the local, to state and federal levels, attention should really be given to where corpers are to be posted.
