I said I loved him but hubby said love wasn't enough!

'Love is not enough' he said
I couldn't believe my ears as I starred at him
How could the man I loved with all my heart tell me love wasn't enough!
Ohhhhh boy, was I heartbroken!

No, it didn't end in disaster 
Yes, we got married 
And half a century later I understand better with every new day

What do you do on the days you've had some crazy argument?
What do you do when you've had a bad day at work and you just wanna lock yourself up in your room but your significant other is there, so you've just got to suck it up and smile?
There are days you can't get enough of each other
Other times you just wanna be alone
Times when your partner annoys you so much you're tempted to go crazy but you don't 
Situations that tests your resolve to love each other
Family crisis 
Death
Finances
Decisions 

Indeed it takes more than just loving to be together 
It takes;
Communication 
Patience 
Forgiveness 
Tolerance 
Wisdom 
Selflessness 
Empathy 
The resolve to stay
It takes so much more, beyond the words written above
Everyday the love we profess is tested, one way or another 
That's not to state that love is insignificant cos or understate it's importance cos without it there'd be no foundation for any relationship in the first place
But when the butterflies in your tummy are no more going crazy and the stars give way to sunlight, when life's stark reality comes knocking, you'd be better prepared that good or bad you're sticking it out.

Bingo on the lose

My people, I was taking my daughter to school when I heard sounds of feet behind me and a man making a call signal. I turned to see what was going on, only to find a correct dog right behind me. Hmmmmmm my mouth opened on its own accord, next thing I knew, doors were flying open because the way my screaming pierced the air, ahhhhhhhhhhhh! The man started apologizing profusely, saying the dog just took off the minute he opened his door. And everyone went into their rooms as per, normal occurrence. Since I set foot in the Dublin, I think dogs are dragging numbers with humans. Everywhere you turn, someone has a dog and you need to see how protective they are about it.
