The labour of our heros past is now in vain?

Yesterday, marked a very very sad day in the history of the nation Nigeria. President Tinubu signed into law our reverting back to the old national anthem that was composed and handed down by the colonial masters.

His decision subsequently meant the anthem written by patriotic and indigent Nigerians meant little or nothing and as such, was squashed. We barely became aware that the legislature was proposing such a bill, when the next minute it flew through all the stages in the house and the president was appending his signature.

Of all the problems in Nigeria, our national anthem took priority.
Not hunger
Not poverty
Not insecurity
Not education
Not health care
Nothing about the social welfare of the citizens.
Citizens dying daily, some going to bed hungry, our economy failing, youths and professional hands leaving the country in drones... Yet, the national anthem was out biggest challenge.
Till date, the government has been unable to increase minimum wage from paltry #30,000 which is less than £20 but the anthem was changed and implementation began with the speed of light.

Nigeria, who bewitched us?
Instead of spending time in introspection of his achievement so far, one year into office, it's from one unreasonable move to another.
NIGERIANS WAKE UP AND FIGHT FOR YOUR LAND OHHHHHH
WAKE UP BEFORE ONE DAY WE'D FIND THAT WE HAVE NO COUNTRY ANYMORE
WAKE UP BEFORE GOVERNMENT SELLS THE COUNTRY INTO MODERN DAY SLAVERY
PUT RELIGION, TRIBE AND OTHER FOOLISH SENTIMENTS ASIDE, LETS FIGHT FOR OUR BELOVED COUNTRY AND THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN!
