Once we were watching a TV program where a man won several stuffs from the show, Dad laughed and told me life wasn't such a fairy tale, to get what you want, you ought to work for it. I've come to hear so many stories of very young men and women going through every imaginable means just to 'keep up with the Joneses'. From crazy diabolical means with demands for sacrifices that would leave you speechless, to illegitimate and fraudulent activities Then the ladies have normalized being escorts to anyone and anything so long as they're paid. You know, watching all these 'DIY' videos from Nigeria, it just looked like too much stressing over nothing, when I could easily walk down my street and there was somebody to fix anything I wanted within reasonable rates. Last night, I made my hair myself for the first time, with the help of hubby. When I called him to help me, the man went into fits of laughter and said there's nothing I won't turn him into. This is however so true. If you want to save money, you literally become the 'JACK OF ALL TRADE'. The zipper of my son's winter jacket got spoilt and finding where to fix it was souch stress, and then the price! We simply went and got him a new jacket. End of wahala! I was opportuned to head a group and created and got things rolling with cool ideas Then I began hearing side talks from some persons Very bad and hateful For every idea, they had something to say I finally got fed up and left the group leadership to them. Zero ideas Zero input Within a month, the group packed up. There are some set of persons who all they know how to do is criticize criticize and criticize Not as per positive criticism, they just derive joy in fighting or opposing everything and anything. They are good oppositionist but whenever they're asked, they have nothing to contribute. Very quick to throw words and blames Very quick to find loopholes in ideas Very quick to point out the flaws and negatives And you want to progress? If men were God! The beautiful thing about God is that he's loving, kind and merciful and he sees things we don't. In our pursuit to relocate we saw different shades of people who were really enemies in the clothes of friendship. Two tried duping us with fake jobs Another got us into selling some of our properties for peanuts in the guise of meeting a deadline for payment without knowing he was simply unhappy towards us. Somehow, inspite of our best efforts, everything we did to relocate to the country were these people were all failed. We decided to try for another European country and everything clicked without any hitch. It was indeed a miracle. We finally relocated and then these friends started spreading crazy and surprising rumours about us. How were we to know what God was delivering us from?
